Raley’s promotes 2 executives
Raley’s has named two executive appointments in its technology and operations divisions.
The West Sacramento, Calif.-based chain has promoted Craig Benson to senior vice president, head of technology at the company, and Levi Wingo has been promoted to vice president or operations.
Benson moves up from his previous position as vice president of technology and has been with the retailer since 1999. He has more than 25 years of retail experience, looking to play a key role in developing and executing Raley’s strategic plan and priorities as the grocer expands its digital and technical capabilities. Benson’s role is to make Raley’s technology offerings a memorable experience for shoppers. He will continue to serve on Raley’s executive committee and report to Keith Knopf, president and CEO.
Wingo has been with Raley’s since 2002 and has held several leadership roles in store operations and led the development of Market 5-One-5 as the general manager and was promoted to executive director of store operations in 2018. Wingo will also continue to serve on the executive committee. He reports to Kevin Konkel, Raley’s chief operating officer.
“We are fortunate to have such experienced and proven leaders in Craig and Levi. Both epitomize servant leadership and Raley’s family values,” said Keith Knopf, Raley’s president and CEO. “I am confident Craig and Levi will continue to help guide the organization toward our purpose of ’changing the way the world eats, one plate at a time.’”
