Publix has expanded its presence in Alabama and Florida with the opening of new stores in the two Southern states.

On June 18, the Lakeland, Florida-based grocer opened two stores in Alabama in the communities of Foley and Meridianville.

Located at 9913 Foley-Beach Express in Foley, the 48,387-square-foot store features several departments including deli, produce, bakery, meat, seafood and pharmacy. Also offered is Publix Delivery powered by Instacart and a pharmacy drive-thru.

“We are thrilled to bring another Publix location to our friends in Foley,” said Hannah Herring, Publix media relations manager. “We look forward to welcoming customers to their new Publix and treating them to the premier service and quality products we’re known for.”

The new Publix in Meridianville is 48,387 square feet and is located at 12290 Highway 231/431N. The store offers the same departments and services as the Foley location.

“We are thrilled to welcome both new and longtime customers to their brand-new Publix in Meridianville,” said Nicole Krauss, media relations manager with Publix.

The company’s new Fort Lauderdale store is located at 2895 N. Ocean Blvd. and opened its doors on June 19. Highlights of the store include a deli, produce, bakery, meat and seafood, along with Publix Delivery powered by Instacart.

“We are excited to welcome customers to their new Fort Lauderdale Publix,” said Lindsey Willis, Publix media relations manager. “This location offers a unique shopping experience just steps from the beach, and we’re excited to provide our customers with the quality, convenience and service they know and love.”
