Research firm InMarket has shared new data that shows how much private label products are outpacing national brands. Private brand market share is high in several major categories, including dairy, beverage, meat & seafood and frozen foods.

The data comes as food prices continue to rise, with many making the shift to store brand products. A recent report from FMI found that 86% of shoppers are concerned about rising food prices and are changing how they shop.

Private label’s biggest market shares were the highest in the dairy, meat & seafood and frozen food categories. The data from InMarket was tracked from August 2021 to March 2022.
