Of the nine stores Aldi is opening on November 16, six are in new communities for the grocer.

The week prior to Thanksgiving is a busy one for Aldi as the discount grocer is opening seven new locations while two communities are celebrating the opening of relocated stores. All stores were slated to open on Thursday, November 16.

Shoppers in Sartell, Minn.; Dublin, Ga.; Marrero, La.; San Marcos, Calif.; and Irmo, S.C., will be introduced to Aldi as the retailer is opening its first store in these communities. Additionally, a new store in Kansas City, Mo., expands the grocers presence in that city, which it has served for 30 years.

Shoppers in Rockford, Ill.; and South Point, Ohio; will be able to shop relocated stores. The new Rockford store is at 3801 W. Riverside Blvd. while the South Point store is now at 228 Township Road.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card during Grand Opening weekend from November 16 through November 19.
