PLM platform rolls out to food and beverage categories
Centric Software, a provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions in the apparel, footwear, sporting goods and home space has entered into the food and beverage categories.
The Campbell, Calif.-based company has launched PLM solutions for food and beverage brands and retailers under its Centric PLM platform that can help companies facilitate private label development and supplier co-creation while respecting and following quality and compliance guidelines. The platform can also be used to boost new product development, accelerate time to market and optimize product assortments.
The food and beverage focused PLM leverages the experience Centric has built working with other categories and can help companies tap into product portfolio management, vendor collaboration, formulation management, packaging development, artwork proofing, labeling and open API connections into nutritional databases such as the USDA.
Wicked Foods, an American mission-led, plant-based food company, has tapped the Centric PLM to be its digital transformation partner. Paul White, COO at Wicked Foods, said the company launches dozens of products in different countries simultaneously with unique ingredient and labeling requirements, different retailer timelines and central distribution models and numerous supply chain and compliance standards, and the solution helps manage the requirements.
"We are very proud to announce the launch of Centric Food and Beverage PLM," says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software. "Our industry experts and developers have been working hard in partnership with leading food and beverage companies to understand their ever-changing needs. Centric's innovations include features to specifically drive success for food and beverage companies, and we look forward to building more innovation partnerships with food and beverage customers who are seeking digital transformation solutions."
