Petco launches exclusive dog food line

Petco, San Diego, said it launched an exclusive line of Drs. Foster and Smith dog food "featuring natural ingredients and healthy nutrients." Drs. Foster and Smith is the largest direct-to-door pet supply source in America

The product line, which is available in both wet and dry options, includes solution-based and everyday wellness formulas to help dogs thrive inside and out. Both wet and dry options are free from artificial colors and flavors, corn, wheat and soy; they include omega-3 fatty acids for a healthy skin and coat, Petco said. The dry formulas also include canine probiotics to aid in digestion.

"For more than 50 years, Petco has been curating the best and most complete nutritional assortment of pet foods in the U.S., and we're expanding our exclusive offering by introducing this all-new Drs. Foster and Smith line of solution-based dog food," said John Sturm, vice president consumables at Petco. "What I find particularly unique about this food is the focus on digestibility. The formula includes a proprietary blend of actual canine probiotics that are only available in Drs. Foster and Smith dry dog food, and it's an added nutritional benefit to each of the solution-based and everyday wellness dry formulas."
