Once Again, a Nunda, N.Y.-based producer of private label nut butter, has announced upgrades to its production facilities to increase the capacity for almond and peanut butter production.
In the almond butter room of its production facility, a new roaster, state-of-the-art mill, four-head filler and pack-out machine have been added to increase efficiency and automation. The equipment fills, packs and shrink wraps the jars, creating a more efficient production process.
The 100-horsepower mill and roaster are also able to produce more pounds of almond butter per hour than they did before, and the larger filler is able to produce double the quantity, according to Once Again.
Once Again also installed a second Bühler roaster to its dedicated peanut butter facility. The new roaster doubles the company’s peanut butter capacity, while also allowing the team to run regular trials to further increase production and efficiency going forward. The equipment is housed in Once Again’s SQF-Certified, 37,000 square-foot peanut facility, which was opened in 2016 to prevent the cross-contamination of allergens.
The company’s tree nut and seed butters, including cashew butters, sunflower butters, and tahini, are produced in a separate, SQF-Certified facility nearby.
“I’m very proud of the incredible steps our team has taken to boost our production capabilities, allowing us to meet increased demand, innovate our offerings, and continue delivering great tasting, high-quality nut and seed butters to our range of loyal customers,” said Gael Orr, director of Marketing at Once Again.
All of the company’s organic and natural products are Non-GMO Project Verified, certified gluten-free, vegan, kosher, and part of the brand’s Honest in Trade sustainability program.
