Michaels New Holiday Collections Rolling Into Stores

In response to consumers shopping earlier for their holiday needs, the retailer is debuting the first of four new lines in September.

Michaels new Night Before Christmas holiday decor will be hitting stores in October.

Michaels is getting a headstart on the holiday season with new collections of home decor products slated to be available to shoppers by September 27. 

Officials with the retailer noted that 41% of consumers said they plan to start their holiday shopping in October or earlier with 20% looking specifically for holiday decor in September or earlier. With a focus on meeting the needs of shoppers. Michaels is rolling out four exclusive decor collections that will include blankets, candles, wreaths, ornaments, and outdoor décor.

“Our new holiday decor collections are a reflection of how Michaels uniquely adapts emerging trends to deliver exclusive designs,” said Mandi Clark, director of Trend and Design at Michaels. “Each collection is thoughtfully developed to embody the spirit of the season while staying true to the diverse styles our customers love.”

The first collection hitting stores on September 27 is Sprinkle Shop. This sugar-coated décor features cotton candy Christmas trees, frosted gingerbread, gumdrops galore, and Sprinkle Santa. Products are set in a palette of pinks, soft greens, and bright reds, paired with flocked and iridescent accents.

Three additional collections will launch on October 18:

  • Holiday Pines: Set in rich greens, cool wood tones, and black accents rarely seen in the holiday season, this collection features deer, evergreens, oversized pinecones, and golden jingle bells.
  • Gala: Inspired by the spirit of The Nutcracker, the collection features bows, swans, ballerinas, trumpets, and fairytale characters. Items in the collection are adorned with pastel pinks and blues, creamy whites, and accents of gold, pearls, crystals, feathers, and glitter.
  • Night Before Christmas: This collection puts a modern twist on the traditional red and green holiday aesthetic with a palette of reds, crisp whites, and minimal green accents. The line combines holiday icons such as Santa, reindeer, trees, and bells, paired with trend-forward styles such as bows and light plaid patterns.

Additionally, customers this year can get creative with an expanded fabric assortment and explore the newly revamped “Tree Forest,” featuring an array of artificial Christmas trees with new sizes, finishes, lighting options, and even musical features. Michaels has also expanded its gift wrap and ribbon collection with a fresh assortment of new designs and textures to elevate holiday décor and gift-giving.
