MENA hosting private label trade show

The show is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors to the DWTC from Oct. 29-31.

Private label is growing in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the region is hosting its first exclusive trade show, “Private Label and Licensing Middle East.”

With more than 130 international brands from 50 plus countries exhibiting products and solutions, the show is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors to the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) from Oct. 29-31, according to Catering News, a Middle East media outlet.  Sales of private label in the Middle East and North Africa are increasing as consumers, particularly in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, are becoming more price conscious and their value perception of non-branded products is improving.

The show is centered around three specific pillars:

  • Private label: Retail heavyweight Carrefour is the retail excellence partner for the event and will showcase a variety of private label products alongside other key retailers and brands.
  • Brand licensing: The event category sponsor for licensing, Cartoon Network, will present brand licensing opportunities to visitors to leverage its iconic brand characters on product packaging.
  • Contract manufacturing.
