Lidl Sets Grand Opening Date For New Brooklyn Store

The grocer's latest New York location will begin welcoming shoppers on May 23.

Lidl's new Brooklyn store will open May 23.

Lidl has set the grand opening date for its newest New York location, with the grocer’s Brooklyn store set to welcome shoppers on May 23.

Located at 490 Fulton Street on the second floor, the grand opening celebration will be held at 7:40 a.m. with the store officially opening its doors at 8 a.m. Lidl’s new Brooklyn location will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Among the highlights of the new store will be Lidl’s new Butcher’s Specialty private label meat brand. The line includes beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and veal with options including USDA choice beef, organic beef, grass fed beef, antibiotic-free chicken, and all-natural pork.

The grocer is also launching its new Special Guest bakery program, which will introduce one new baked good every month that leans into seasonal trends and unique items, available while supplies last. Starting May 2, its first special guest is an Iced Lemon Muffin. 

Other notable items that will grace the shelves of the new Brooklyn store include Lidl Preferred Selection Frozen Tiramisu, Lidl Preferred Selection Parmigiano Reggiano, Lidl Preferred Selection Prosciutto, Lidl Preferred Selection Prosciutto, and Lidl Snack Day Extra Flavor Wavy Potato Chips.
