Lidl to Open Third Delaware Store in Newark
Lidl plans to open a new store in Delaware on July 11. The grocer’s third location in the state will be at 1616 Pulaski Highway in the Bear area of Newark.
Once open, the store’s regular hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Among the highlights of Lidl’s new store is its Butcher’s Specialty private label meat brand. The assortment includes high-quality, affordable beef, chicken, pork, lamb and veal, with options including USDA Choice beef, organic beef, grass-fed beef, antibiotic-free chicken and all-natural pork.
Additionally, shoppers will have access to the grocer’s Nixe Chunk Light Tuna in Water (private label). For $19.99 for a case of 48 cans, shoppers will have access to MSC-certified, sustainably sourced chunk light tuna. The deal will be available for a limited time following the store’s grand opening.
Other features include Lidl’s new Special Guest bakery program, where the grocer introduces one new baked good each month that leans into seasonal trends and unique items, available while supplies last. For its Bear opening, the retailer will have two special guests: its Cinnamon Raisin NY Bagel and new Banana Nut Muffin.
For those seeking a sweet treat, Lidl will feature its Bon Gelati Mini Mix Ice Cream Bars, offered in an exclusive pack of 12, and its Lidl Preferred Selection Frozen Tiramisu.
The new Delaware store is a continuation of Lidl’s store expansion in East Coast markets. The grocer recently opened new stores in Brooklyn, New York; Freehold, New Jersey; and Paramus, New Jersey.
