Lidl's expansion along the East Coast of the U.S. continues with the forthcoming grand opening of the grocer’s newest store in Bethesda, Maryland.

On July 30, the company will open its new location at 7625 Old Georgetown Road. The store’s regular hours will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Lidl’s 21st Maryland store will feature a curated selection of private label products, global imports, and everyday name brands, including imported cheeses, and fresh meats and seafood.

Highlights of the new store will include:

  • Butcher’s Specialty private label meat brand: The line includes high-quality, affordable beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and veal. Options include USDA Choice beef, organic beef, grass-fed beef, antibiotic-free chicken, and all-natural pork.
  • Nixe chunk light tuna in water (private label): The MSC-certified, sustainably sourced chunk light tuna is priced at $19.99 for a case (48 cans), available for a limited time from the Friday of the grand store opening to the following Friday.
  • Preferred Selection pizza: Imported from Europe, the line features a combination of unique and classic flavors such as Truffle Oil & Mushroom, 5 Cheese & Chutney and Margherita.
  • Bon Gelati mini mix ice cream bars: The Lidl-exclusive pack comes with 12 bars and four flavors: milk chocolate, almond, white chocolate and dark chocolate.
  • Lidl Preferred Selection Parmigiano Reggiano aged 24 months.
  • Lidl Preferred Selection prosciutto: A premium, thinly sliced prosciutto for charcuterie boards, sandwiches and more.
  • Lidl Preferred Selection frozen tiramisu.
  • Preferred Selection chilled Italian pasta: Ingredients are imported from Italy and feature premium fillings, including truffle and lobster, and offered in flavors such as Cacio e Pepe and Burrata and Sun-Dried Tomato.

The new Bethesda store is a continuation of Lidl’s expansion efforts, with its focus more recently on the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. On July 25, the grocer will open a new store in Hackensack, New Jersey, and on July 11, will welcome its third Delaware location in Newark. Other recent openings include Brooklyn in New York, along with Freehold and Paramus in New Jersey.
