Trader Joe's is planning to open at least 24 additional stores across the U.S. in the coming months.
Trader Joe’s continues to expand its footprint across the U.S. and has plans to open as many as 24 new stores in the coming months.
However, the specialty grocer was not quite ready to share the news of its new locations.
Thanks to the Instagram account traderjoestalk, the proverbial cat is out of the bag. A recent post from the fan account that follows the popular grocer listed 26 cities where a Trader Joe’s store would be coming soon. One of the stores on the list — in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley — recently opened.
As for the remaining 25, a Trader Joe’s spokesperson confirmed 24 future stores to SFGATE, and noted the map posted on Instagram outlining the forthcoming locations was leaked from a “confidential internal document.”
The remaining stores on this list include Boston, Mass.; Chandler, Ariz.; Coeur d’Alene, Id.; Coppell, Tex.; East Lansing, Mich.; Harlem, N.Y.; Ladera Ranch, Calif.; Leesburg, Va.; Milwaukie, Ore.; Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; Murrieta, Calif.; Palm Harbor, Fla.; Poway, Calif.; Raleigh, N.C.; Reno, Nev.; Northridge, Calif.; Salt Lake City, Utah; Sandy Springs, Ga.; Santa Clarita, Calif.; Santee, Calif.; Sherman Oaks, Calif.; South Pasadena, Calif.; Sparks, Nev.; Sugar Land, Tex.; West Springfield, Va.
It was not known which of the 25 communities listed would not be getting a Trader Joe’s location.
