Lakeside Foods Debuts New Frozen Appetizers, Canned Goods

Lakeside Foods has introduced a new line of frozen appetizers with a breading company officials said is specially formulated to crisp up in an air fryer or conventional oven. The line includes breaded green beans, pickles and Wisconsin white cheddar cheese curds. 

The items are available for retail private label programs and food service distribution to convenience stores and restaurants. Beginning this week, the oven-ready breaded green beans will be available at select retail locations across the United States.

“These newest products align with eating trends we’re watching, including the growth of frozen breaded appetizers and snacks,” said Trey Taylor, vice president of marketing for Lakeside Foods. “They also capitalize on the air fryer craze, giving consumers the ability to make fun, delicious snacks at home with the crispness and flavor of deep-fried restaurant fare.”

In addition to these items, the company is also expanding its canned food line with canned organic garbanzo and black beans, both made with Himalayan pink salt.  

The Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) recently featured the new Lakeside Foods item at the Idea Supermarket showcase at the 2024 PLMA Private Label Trade Show in Chicago.
