Peggy Davies welcomes attendees to the 2024 PLMA Private Label Trade Show.
The annual PLMA Private Label Trade Show in Chicago was a record-setter, according to the Private Label Manufacturers Association, which reported a record number of attendees at the event held in November.
The show featured 1,821 exhibitors from 60 countries, with 700 first-timers showcasing their wares to leading retailers. In total, the event attracted some 14,000 retailers, visitors, and exhibitors, PLMA said.
“The annual Private Label Trade Show provided an unparalleled opportunity to discover the best and most innovative private label products from around the world, including food, beverages, wine and spirits, health and beauty care, general merchandise, and much more,” said Peggy Davies, president of PLMA.
A highlight of the trade event was the keynote presentation from Dave Rinaldo, president of Aldi. As previously reported by Store Brands, Rinaldo’s speech attracted some 1,500 industry professionals to the Hyatt Regency O’Hare’s Grand Ballroom. His remarks were focused on the need for the grocer and product suppliers to strengthen their relationships, a topic of greater importance as Aldi plans on adding 800 stores by 2028.
