Label Technology moves flexible packaging operations to new building

8/27/2015

Merced, Calif.-based Label Technology Inc., a converter of flexible packaging, finished pouches and pressure-sensitive labels, said it completed the transfer of its flexible packaging operations to a 90,000-square-foot manufacturing location down the street from its current building. The existing 60,000-square-foot location will continue to house all pressure-sensitive label operations, as well as administration, sales, graphics and customer service.

“I am extremely excited to announce that we have completed the move into our state-of-the-art flexible packaging production facility,” said David Bankson, president and CEO of Label Technology. “This building gives us the capacity to continue to grow in addition to supporting our ongoing good manufacturing practice (GMP) and lean programs. Our team has done a tremendous job of designing and implementing an outstanding and very impressive facility.”

The building is fully GMP compliant and received an outstanding score (940 out of a possible 1,000) under the requirements of AIB International’s Consolidated Standards for Food Contact Packaging Manufacturing Facilities, the company said.

The new location is outfitted with Label Technology’s most sophisticated flexible packaging presses, lamination systems and pouch-making production lines, the company said. The building will also house Label Technology's extensive flexible packaging raw material inventory, which allows the company to meet quick-turn requirements for printed film.
