Kroger has named David Kennerley (left) as its new CFO, replacing the retiring Todd Foley.

The Kroger Co. has named a new chief financial officer as David Kennerley will join the grocer and take his new position on April 3. He will succeed Todd Foley, the company’s current CFO and senior vice president, who is retiring.

Kennerley joins Kroger from PepsiCo Europe, where he served as senior vice president and CFO.

"Consistent with Kroger's history of thoughtful succession planning, David and Todd will transition seamlessly to ensure Kroger continues to deliver on its go-to-market strategy, providing access to fresh, affordable food for families across America and, by doing so, creating long-term shareholder value," said Rodney McMullen, Kroger's chairman and CEO.
