Kroger has expanded its footprint in Indiana with the opening of a 120,000-square-foot store in the community of Fishers.

The new store at 7450 Fishers Station Drive is located to the northeast of Indianapolis, and its grand opening marks the completion of a $40 million investment by the grocer.

The new store replaces a previous Kroger location in Fishers that was opened in 1996. Nearly twice the size of its predecessor store, the location features a Murray’s Cheese shop, a Starbucks, a store-made popcorn café, wise aisles, and an apparel department.

“This store shows our attention to the evolving needs of our local customers,” said Colleen Juergensen, president of Kroger Central Division. “Now, we can offer a wider selection of foods and features than were possible before. At the same time, everything we do revolves around three timeless principles -- fresh products, full shelves and friendly service.”

The financial investment devoted to the new Fishers store and fuel center are part of $56 million in investments Kroger made across Indiana in 2024. The grocer will continue such commitments in 2025, investing an additional $25 million to further enhance the shopping experience for Kroger customers across the state this year, company officials said.

Work is underway now on a new Fishers fuel center at the store, which is expected to open in the spring.

As part of the grand opening celebration, Kroger presented a check for $70,000 to Second Helpings, a community kitchen that prepares and delivers more than one million meals to the central Indiana community each year. Through its partnership with Second Helpings, Kroger has donated more than 2.8 million pounds of food.
