Kroger expanding customizable seafood meals in Richmond, Va., area

Cincinnati-based The Kroger Co. is adding to its Easy for You! brand of customizable steam-in-bag seafood meals to provide more variety and let busy shoppers get “adventurous” mixing and matching to build their own easy-to-prepare meals, according to a report in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

The expanded line is being piloted in stores in the Richmond, Va., area, and Kroger plans to expand the program to additional stores in the Richmond market, according to the report.

The selections include a choice of catfish cod, crab, salmon, shrimp or tilapia as well as several seasonings and fresh garnish pairings.

Easy for You! meals cost $7.99 per pound and cook in about 10 to 12 minutes.
