At the same time, facing Thanksgiving and the winter holiday season ahead, Trader Joe’s is fully aware of the supply chain issues happening across the country. The retailer dedicated its latest podcast to the subject, taking a slight step back from its more humorous take on all things Trader Joe’s, but addressing how the chain keeps prices down for some products such as jars of its dijon mustard that have remained at a price of $1.69 for more than a decade, and also acknowledging that the price of beef is going up everywhere. The podcast ventured into the store’s buying philosophy and how it works to keep prices low and shelves stocked.
For Thanksgiving, the retailer touted items that can be found in Trader Joe’s stores. Products include classic items like its Trader Joe’s Whole Turkeys delivered fresh on Nov. 12, including free-range turkeys, Kosher turkeys and a turkey soaked in a sweet and savory brine.
