Freeze-dried foods producer inks business management deal to handle private label growth

Innovative Freeze-Dried Food, or IFDF, a producer of freeze-dried fruits, vegetables, dairy products and more has tapped Shakopee, Minn.-based OSAS to be its enterprise resource planning provider and help manage the manufacturer’s growing operation in private label and contract manufacturing.

OSAS will outfit Ferndale, Wash.-based IFDF with its ProcessPro ERP software system, replacing manual processes and spreadsheets, and streamlining all aspects of the manufacturer’s business into one system.

IFDF carries several certifications, including USDA Organic, that require the provider to help with tracking capabilities, real-time inventory management and automated documentation. ProcessPro has more than 30 years of experience developing batch processing software for the regulated food industry.

With unique capabilities and state-of-the-art freeze drying equipment in wet processing and dry packaging, IFDF handles simultaneous production runs in their Ferndale facility. Items include more than 20 different freeze-dried fruits, a range of vegetables, cheeses and yogurt products.
