Del Real Foods has a new COO
Viviano del Villar Jr. has joined Del Real Foods as its new chief operating officer. The company recently tapped a new CFO and CEO, who joined late last year.
Del Real Foods, Mira Loma, Calif., produces private brand heat-and-serve Mexican cuisine products like meats (carnitas, barbacoa and al pastor), tamales and pupusas, salsas and sides.
Del Villar will lead the manufacturer’s supply chain functions, including operations, logistics, warehouse, maintenance and engineering.
He recently served as the vice president of manufacturing excellence at Bonduelle Fresh Americas, a provider of ready-to-eat fresh foods, like prepackaged salad blends, kits and meal bowls. He also held several roles in plant management, health and safety at Kraft Heinz.
"We are excited to welcome Viviano to our company's leadership team. Viviano shares our commitment to employee health and safety and brings an impressive track record of delivering on continuous improvement initiatives throughout his career," said Mike Axelrod, Del Real's CEO.
Del Real is owned by a private fund affiliated with Palladium Equity Partners, in partnership with the Cardenas family, the company's founders.
