CVS Pharmacy has announced its second annual Supplier Diversity & Minority Owned Summit, in partnership with ECRM and RangeMe. The event will take place April 5-8, and is aimed at finding new and diverse suppliers for CVS’s branded and private label products.

Albertsons Companies, Meijer, Sam’s Club, and Walgreens have all announced diversity supplier events so far this year. Since 2019, CVS has seen a sustained increase in traffic, partially due to COVID-19 tests and vaccination services.

"We're at our best when our priorities and actions reflect the needs of the communities we serve," said Andrea Harrison, VP of merchandising, beauty & personal care at CVS Health. "We'll continue to feature the brands and trends that speak to the diversity of our customers while simultaneously offering the value, innovation and trust they expect from the products across our aisles."

Vendors in beauty, grocery, personal care, health, wellness, household and other categories can apply to join the virtual event here. The deadline to apply is Feb. 14.

In addition to the summit, CVS said it is offering resources, training and mentoring for new and/or growing diverse suppliers as they gain a foothold in the retail environment, as well as developing refreshed intake forms to ensure specific supplier needs are appropriately met.
