Albertsons Companies prepares supplier diversity event

The parent company of over 20 grocery banners is taking applications for its virtual event aimed at finding diverse suppliers for its products.

Albertsons Companies is seeking new and diverse suppliers for its branded and private label products. 

The company is planning to host its second virtual event this year, working with ECRM, RangeMe and Quantum to find new suppliers. Meijer, Sam’s Club, and Walgreens have all announced diversity supplier events so far this year. 

Albertsons Companies is seeking submissions from suppliers that are over 50% owned and controlled/operated by a U.S. citizen and one of the following categories or ethnicities: African American, Asian American, Hispanic, Native American, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender, Service-Disabled Veteran or Female.

Those interested in participating can apply here by Feb. 7. Those accepted into the Supplier Diversity Program will be announced in April. The date of the virtual event has yet to be announced.

Albertsons Companies operates over 20 well-known grocery banners in 34 states, and operates a successful collection of private label items.
