Aldi has brought back three flavors of the CHOCO CHANGER chocolate bars.

In 2024, Aldi added Choceur CHOCO CHANGER chocolate bars to its assortment for a limited time. And as quickly as they arrived, they were gone, and consumers were asking for more.

Aldi has responded to those requests and has brought back CHOCO CHANGER bars as an exclusive assortment that includes Milk Chocolate with Nougat Honeycomb & Sea Salt, Milk Chocolate with Brownie & Salted Caramel, and Dark Chocolate with Salty Fudge & Almond.

But the chocolate is more than a sweet treat for shoppers. Working with Open Chain by Tony’s Chocolonely, the products also benefit farmers, workers, local communities, and have a beneficial impact on the environment.

According to information from its website, Tony’s Open Chain’s mission is to create a more equitable supply chain by enabling cocoa farmers to earn a living income, protecting forests, and addressing child labor in the world’s largest cocoa-producing countries, Ghana and Ivory Coast.

The CHOCO CHANGER bars now at Aldi are produced with traceable beans and sourced directly from farmer cooperatives in West Africa. Farmers receive premiums for every kilogram of cocoa beans, helping them earn a living income and invest in their farms.

Additionally, Aldi’s support of professional farmer cooperatives with long-term commitments give farmers income security, the opportunity to invest in their businesses, improve their yields. and get access to more markets. The chocolate’s ingredients are also Fairtrade certified and sourced from Fairtrade producers. Selling cocoa, sugar and vanilla on Fairtrade terms supports farmers in various ways including financial support, training, environmental education, and more.

According to Aldi, 97% of its private label chocolate and seasonal confectionary items are certified as responsibly sourced through Fairtrade, Fair Trade USA or Rainforest Alliance.
