Costco report strong sales gains in March.
March proved to be a busy month at Costco as sales for the year’s third month were buoyed in part by the shift of the Easter holiday.

Company-wide comparable store sales (without the impact of gasoline) were up 7.5%. Officials with Costco said the Easter shift positively impacted total and comparable sales by approximately 0.5%.
By division, comparable store sales (without the impact of gasoline) in the U.S. were up 7.4%, up 7.3% in Canada, and 8.4% in Other International. E-commerce comparable sales were up 28%.
Net sales for the first 31 weeks of the current fiscal year were $146.64 billion, an increase of 6.4% from the comparable period the prior year.
