Costco Reports Solid June Sales Gains Across All Divisions

The warehouse club saw strong comparable store sales growth in all geographies and e-commerce

Costco closed out the first half of the calendar year with a strong June, as the warehouse club reported an 8% increase in sales over the comparable month the previous year.

For the five weeks ended July 6, the Issaquah, Washington-based retailer reported sales of $26.44 billion, up from sales of $24.48 billion in June 2024. Net sales for the first 44 weeks of the company’s fiscal year were $227.46 billion, up 8% from the comparable period the previous fiscal year.

Company-wide comparable sales, excluding the impacts from changes in gasoline prices and foreign exchange, were up 6.2% for the month and up 7.7% for the fiscal year-to-date. In the U.S., comparable sales were up 5.5%; they were up 7.9% in Canada, up 8.2% in other international markets, and up 11.2% in its e-commerce division.

Costco currently operates 907 warehouses, including 624 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 109 in Canada, 41 in Mexico, 37 in Japan, 29 in the United Kingdom, 20 in Korea, 15 in Australia, 14 in Taiwan, seven in China, five in Spain, two in France, two in Sweden, and one each in Iceland and New Zealand. Costco also operates e-commerce sites in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia.
