C.H. Guenther & Son Appoints New Senior Advisor

C.H. Guenther & Son (CHG), a manufacturer of branded and private label baked and grain-based products, has appointed Lawrence “Larry” Oberkfell to the role of Senior Advisor.

Oberkfell will advise CHG’s management team on growth opportunities and strategic initiatives including acquisitions. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association. He held additional executive leadership roles at Schwan Food Company, Surebeam Corporation and Anchor Food Products, and served as an operating partner at GESD Capital Partners, where he oversaw the firm’s bakery portfolio.

Founded in 1851, CHG employs more than 3,700 people in 27 manufacturing locations in the U.S., Canada and Western Europe. The San Antonio-based company’s product portfolio includes bread and baked goods, batter & breading mixes, tortillas and pizza dough, gravy, sauces and more.
