Butler Home Products acquires Clean Ones

6/27/2016

Butler Home Products, a division of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based Bradshaw International, said it completed the acquisition of Clean Ones Corp., a Portland, Ore.-headquartered supplier of household gloves under its own brand and for private labeling. Clean Ones sells nearly two billion gloves each year. Butler Home Products is a diversified consumer cleaning company, selling products within five different categories, including cleaning tools (the company’s largest business segment), lint rollers, garment and laundry care, reusable and disposable gloves, and household sponges.

Butler said the acquisition will allow it to expand its market share in gloves, "while leveraging the company’s preeminent status as an innovative leader in the cleaning products industry." Butler currently offers a wide range of household gloves under various owned and licensed brands.

Clean Ones will retain its name and will be marketed as a brand under the Butler Home Products portfolio. As part of Butler’s overall corporate business, Clean Ones will maintain its Portland office, as well as the company’s existing distribution network, Butler said.

“Bringing Clean Ones into the Butler family represents an important step in the company’s overall growth plan,” said Robert Michelson, president of Butler Home Products. “Household gloves play an integral role in our business, and this acquisition will further accelerate Butler’s growth in the category.”
