Blendtek Ingredients adds store brand baking mix supplier

Blendtek Ingredients has acquired Tri-Blend Bakery Mixes, a bakery and confectionary supplier out of Ontario, giving Blendtek entry into more categories including private label, while bolstering Tri-Blend into a full-service food industry partner.

Tri-Blend Bakery Mixes specializes in bakery mixes for cakes, pastries, pancakes and cookies, servicing Canada and the U.S. It will operate as a division within Blendtek and combined with Blendtek becomes a full-service supplier that can manage formulations, strategic sourcing, product design, manufacturing and packaging.

With the integration of Tri-Blend, Cambridge, Ontario-based Blendtek extends its current offering to support functional ingredient blends, bakery mixes, private label solutions and custom dry-blended products such as plant-based meat texturizers and emerging gluten-free alternative blends.
