Berner promotes new operations leader

The private label leader in food and beverage products recently added a 200,000 sq. ft. facility.

Berner Food & Beverage has a new head of operations.

The private brand and contract manufacturing supplier of quality food and beverage products promoted Kelly Diamond to the role of vice president of operations, overseeing day-to-day company operations and defining the company’s overall operations strategy.

In the position, Diamond will manage quarterly and annual budgeting processes with P&L responsibilities, while monitoring performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions. 

Diamond has years of experience and knowledge in all phases of operations and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable best-in-class results, the company said. 

She’s been with Berner since 2017, but prior to her joining the company, Diamond served nearly 10 years at Dean Foods. She also has experience from positions at Woodward Inc. and Anderson Packaging Inc.

Diamond earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical and Scientific Communication from Michigan Technical University and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.

Berner Food & Beverage, based in Dakota, Ill., provides a single source of supply for both store brand products and contract manufacturing. Th company’s recent 200,000 sq. ft. production and warehouse addition increased capabilities, making Berner Food & Beverage a single-source partner for food and beverages including processed dips, sauces, aerosol cheese, and RTD coffees and teas.
