Berner appoints new director of warehouse operations

Dakota, Ill.-based Berner Food & Beverage, maker of food and beverage store brand products such as dips, sauces, aerosol cheese, and coffee and teas, named a new director of warehouse operations.

Jesse Higgins joined the company in the new role to oversee warehouse and logistics at two locations, including a brand-new 675,000 square-foot distribution center in Winnebago County, Ill. Higgins will run that site with its additional storage space to manage a growing ready-to-drink beverages business.

He will also maintain oversight of safety compliance at the distribution centers, manage the fleet of trucks and deliveries, and carry on vendor partnerships.

Higgins carries with him more than 17 years of experience managing warehouses, logistics and supplier relations for companies such as CSL Behring, PCI Pharma Services, New Breed Logistics and more.
