Bektrom low sugar baking mixes

Bektrom Foods has introduced a new line of bakery mixes for the private brand market that are low on sugar. The company said its new “Don’t Break Your Diet” brand of low sugar mixes contain 75-85% less sugar than most current store brand mixes.

Under the new “Don’t Break Your Diet” brand, Bektrom is offering a cake mix, cookie mix and cornbread mix. Each mix carries 1-2 grams of sugar per serving, with the same great taste and texture that consumers are accustomed, per the company.

Additionally, the mixes have more fiber, less calories, less sodium, no artificial colors and a plant-based sugar substitute.

Monroe, Mich.-based Bektrom manufactures baking mixes for muffins, cakes, cookies, quick breads, cup cakes and more, as well as private brand products in other dry goods like oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, spices, skillet dinners, pasta salads and instant potatoes. The company produces more than 250 SKUs.
