Bed Bath & Beyond announces new Board of Directors appointment

Home retailer Bed Bath & Beyond has announced a new appointment to the company’s Board of Directors. Minesh Shah will join the board effective March 1.

"His extensive consumer, technology and operational experiences across numerous emerging and leading businesses are especially relevant for our Company. Additionally, Minesh's deep knowledge and expertise in retail will offer valuable perspective and oversight of Bed Bath & Beyond's ongoing transformation and drive to unlock greater shareholder value."

Bed Bath & Beyond has been active in its own brand approach in the past year. The company launched a new brand ahead of the holiday season, and in a major move, partnered with Kroger to bring its private brand products to the grocery chain’s Marketplace website with plans for a physical pilot store.

Shah brings over 20 years of experience in consumer experiences to the Board of Directors. He currently serves as the chief operations officer at Stitch Fix, where he is responsible for the company’s operations and client experiences. Most recently, Shah led delivery operations at Tesla, involved in post-manufacturing infrastructure, while delivering post-purchase experiences. He was also a leader in global eCommerce at Uniqlo and on the founding team at Walmart.com, where he spent a decade in marketing and operations roles, including as interim chief operating officer. Shah received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and MBA from Northwestern University.
