Aldi Working To Convert Orlando-Area Winn-Dixie Stores

The projects are part of the grocer's continued effort to expand its presence in Florida.

Nine Orlando-area Winn-Dixie stores will be converted to Aldi stores in the coming weeks.

As Aldi continues expanding its footprint with the opening of new stores across the U.S., the discount grocer is also working to renovate stores acquired from Southeastern Grocers.

In Florida, nine Winn-Dixie stores are being renovated or renovation projects will soon begin, according to a report in the Orlando Business Journal. Six Winn-Dixie stores in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia, and Brevard counties, as well as The Villages, are currently undergoing renovations and converting to Aldi stores.

  • 961 E. Eau Gallie Blvd., Melbourne
  • 820 Old Camp Road, The Villages

Three other stores in Brevard, Lake, and Volusia counties will be converted to Aldi stores in the coming months.
