The transition from February to March will be a busy period for Aldi as the discount grocer will open seven new locations on March 2.

Aldi’s new stores are located in Valparaiso, Ind.; Woodlyn, Penn.; Alexandria, Va.; Willoughby, Ohio; Fairhope, Ala.; Miramar, Fla.; and Fremont, Mich.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

The news stores in Fremont, Willoughby, Woodlyn, Fairhope, and Miramar are the first Aldi locations in those communities. The Alexandria store is the sixth Aldi location in that community while the Valparaiso store is the second in that community for the grocer.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Jeff Baehr, Frederick regional vice president for ALDI. “We have served (the Alexandria) community for more than 24 years and are excited to continue to offer residents an affordable way of shopping.”
