Aldi Rolls Through January With Store Openings, Conversions

The grocer continues expanding its reach across the U.S.

Aldi continues opening stores in communities across the U.S.

It’s been a busy start to the year for Aldi as the grocer continues opening new stores while also converting locations acquired as part of the Southeastern Grocers acquisition.

On January 16, Aldi opened its first stores in Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Fulton, Mo. The Garfield Heights store is located at 12782 Rockside Road, while the new Fulton store is located at 1503 North Bluff St. Both locations will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Earlier in January, Aldi opened three new locations and converted two Winn-Dixie stores:

  • Vandalia, Ohio, at 6415 Miller Lane. This is the first Aldi store in the community.
  • Maryland Heights, Mo., at 12632 Dorsett Road. This is the first Aldi store in the community.
  • Auburn, Ala., at 1617 South College St. This is a Winn-Dixie conversion.
  • Metairie, La., at 5901 Airline Drive. This is a Winn-Dixie conversion.
  • Waverly, Iowa, at 2701 4th St. SW. This is the first Aldi store in the community.
