Aldi Rolls Into March With New Stores, Winn-Dixie Conversions

The grocer continues growing as it works to meet its aggressive expansion goals.

Aldi continues opening new stores while also converting former Winn-Dixie locations.

As February transitioned into March, the Aldi brand continued to expand its presence in key markets across the eastern and central portions of the U.S. as the grocer opened new stores and completed Winn-Dixie conversions.

In Florida, Aldi expanded its presence in Port St. Lucie with the opening of a new store at 10300 SW Discovery Way. The store, which officially opened on March 6 and will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., expands the company’s presence in the community it has served for the past 10 years. 

Residents of Panama City, Fla., are now able to shop at a new Aldi as the company completed the conversion of a Winn-Dixie store at 3157 West 23rd St. The remodeled store officially opened as Aldi on March 6 and will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

In Desloge, Mo., the grocer opened its first store in the community on February 27. Located at 404 N. State St., the location will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Also on February 27, shoppers in Mobile, Ala., had an opportunity to walk the aisles of Aldi’s newly converted former Winn-Dixie store at 1550 Government St. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On February 20, the Batavia, Ill.-based grocer celebrated the conversions of former Winn-Dixie locations in Northport, Ala., and Panama City Beach, Fla. The stores, respectively, are located at 10 McFarland Blvd. and 23200 Front Beach Road. Both locations will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
