Aldi previews popular advent calendars

Aldi U.S. is bringing back its popular advent calendars, including some new versions such as a Vista Bay Hard Seltzer calendar, and dog treat and cat treat calendars under its Pure Being line.

The retailer previewed its annual advent calendars on its Facebook page as well as on the Aldi website, and once again the calendars range in themes for adults, kids and pets. Aldi announced the calendars will be available for purchase on Nov. 4.

Aldi said in the Facebook post that it is designating that Wednesday to be November National Advent Calendar Day. Last year, the calendars were so popular that the retailer limited purchases of some calendars to two per person. They are only available in stores  — not online or through delivery — creating a bit of a mad dash for the items. The calendars are not restocked and do sell out.

The Aldi calendar page online offers a way to sign up for an email newsletter to receive updates on the calendars. The full range of calendars include themes for some branded products and Aldi own brand items.

New this year is a calendar dedicated to Aldi’s Vista Bay Hard Seltzer, a calendar for its Pure Being dog treats and Pure Being cat treats, as well as branded ones from Huntington Home candles, Barissimo coffee and Bee Happy craft toys.

There are also calendars for the retailer’s exclusive line of cheeses, chocolates, wine, sparkling wine and beer, and a range of toy-based calendars such as a Mattel Hot Wheels calendar, Mattel Barbie, Mattel Little People, a Disney/Marvel book advent calendar, and one themed as a Spin Master Paw Patrol calendar.
