Aldi is expanding its presence in the Midwest with the opening of new stores in Orland Park, Ill., and Stugis, Mich.

The Orland Park store is located at 11200 W. 179th Street. The new Sturgis store is the first in the community for the discount grocer.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of ALDI Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card during the Grand Opening weekend from March 16 through March 19.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Ryan Fritsch, Webberville regional vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first store in Sturgis and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

Heather McCarthy, Dwight regional vice president for Aldi, said the new store in Orland Park enhances the grocer’s presence in the community it has served for more than 15 years.
