Aldi started December with nine new store openings.

Aldi kicked off December with the opening of nine new stores in eight states and the District of Columbia. The latest locations are part of the grocer’s year-long store expansion effort.

Each of the new stores celebrated its grand opening on either December 5 or December 6, and all will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The new stores include:

  • Tampa, Fla.: 213 N. Dale Mabry Hwy.
  • Oakdale, Minn.: 3504 Highpoint Drive N.
  • Poland, Ohio: 3236 Center Road
  • Overland Park, Kan.: 12055 Metcalf Ave.
  • Ypsilanti, Mich.: 1420 S. Huron St.
  • Washington, D.C.: 5300 South Dakota Ave N.E.
  • Huntingdon, Pa.: 7495 Huntingdon Plaza
  • Central Islip, N.Y.: 215 Carleton Ave.
  • Wilmington, Del.: 4130 Concord Pike

The new stores in Oakdale, Poland, Huntingdon, Central Islip, and Wilmington are the first Aldi locations in each community.

Additionally, the grocer is using the nine grand openings to donate $1,000 each to food banks in the communities of its nine new stores. The donations are part of its commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America and its network of affiliates through 2024 to help alleviate hunger in local communities. The grocer is also working with local food banks across the U.S. to ensure excess grocery items are delivered to the local community through the Feeding America Network. In the past year, Aldi donated 33 million pounds of food to Feeding America partners across the country.
