Aldi Continues Robust Expansion With Nine Store Openings

The discount grocer's newest locations are in eight states.

Aldi opened nine new stores during the second week of December.

Aldi during the second week of December opened nine stores across eight states as the grocer works to close out 2024 continuing its expansion plans.

The new locations follow the nine stores opened by the grocer in eight states and Washington, D.C. the week of December 2. 

The nine new stores that opened on December 12 or December 13 are located in:

  • Newton, Iowa, at 375 Iowa Speedway Drive
  • Louisville, Ky., at 220 Juneau Drive
  • Plainville, Ct., at 286 New Britain Ave.
  • East Northport, N.Y., at 4000 Jericho Turnpike
  • Pittsburgh, Pa., at 450 56th Street
  • Baton Rouge, La., at 9720 Cortana Place
  • Brookhaven, Miss., at 840 Brookway Blvd.
  • Wilkes Barre, Pa., at 1100 Wilkes Barre Township Blvd.
  • Whitestown, Ind., at 6479 Center Drive

All stores will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The stores in Newton, Plainville, East Northport, Brookhaven, Wilkes Barre, and Whitestone are the first Aldi locations in each community.
