“We’re excited to bring our selection of ready-to-drink beverages, including beer and ciders, to more than 30 Aldi locations across New York,” the spokesperson said. “As part of our ongoing commitment to making Aldi a first-stop destination for our customers, we strive to offer the highest quality products at the best prices of any national grocers.”

The spokesperson said the change reflects the strong demand the company has received from shoppers in New York.

Among the products now available in New York City Aldi stores are Wernesgruner Lemon Radler, Wicked Grove Blueberry Cider, Locken’s Tropical Pineapple Kolsch, Limaveza Lime Lager, and All Play Margarita Variety Pack.

New York state law allows grocery stores to sell beer, cider, and certain pre-mixed wines or spirit-based beverages, but prohibits them from selling full-strength liquor and wine.
