Just weeks after unveiling its new Chef’s Counter private label, Albertsons hosted a Hollywood event designed to raise the profile of the grocer’s latest addition to its own brand assortment.

With its brand ambassador, Chef Antonia Lofaso, leading the way in preparing the evening’s tasty treats, the event at Serra on Vine featured a host of options from the own brand.

Among the dishes in the spotlight were cilantro lime chicken thighs, mesquite-seasoned boneless pork loin chops, and smoky buttery garlic beef sirloin steaks. The dishes were designed to showcase the versatility of the new meal solutions sold under the Chef’s Counter brand.

Additionally, the event also included dishes featuring Albertsons’ shoppable recipes, which were paired with beverages highlighted by Chef’s Counter-branded ice cubes.

“This event was more than just a launch; it was a celebration of culinary creativity and innovation,” Albertsons wrote in a blog post. “With adventurous flavors and globally inspired ingredients, Chef’s Counter offers shoppers restaurant-quality recipes and new mealtime possibilities, all with the convenience, ease and value of cooking at home. The brand is debuting with a flavorful selection of ready-to-cook marinated meats, helping food lovers turn their culinary inspirations into reality.”

Albertsons raised the curtain on Chef’s Counter in mid-May, touting the new private label assortment as offering chef-inspired flavors and tastes to shoppers in a convenient, easy, and affordable way. The initial assortment includes a selection of ready-to-cook marinated meats priced from $4.99 for boneless pork loin chops in mesquite or garlic herb flavors to $12.69 for carne asada.

Lofaso, in her role as brand ambassador, will be featured in social content that will showcase her passion for flavor, creativity and approachable cooking. Her perspective as a celebrated chef and a working mom embodies the essence of the brand — bringing elevated, yet efficient and affordable, everyday meals to the home, Albertsons officials said.

Chef’s Counter is now exclusively available in Albertsons Cos. stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, ACME and Shaw’s.
