Albertsons once again forays into convenience store channel

Albertsons Cos. debuted its new Albertsons Express concept — a combination fuel center and convenience store — on Dec. 18 in the chain’s hometown of Boise, Idaho.

The Albertsons Express location includes a 3,100-square-foot store and 12 fuel pumps. The store’s food offerings range from doughnuts to fresh fruit to sandwiches, which are sold at the same prices as in the larger store format, reported the Idaho Statesmen.

Beverage offerings include hot espresso drinks and two kinds of cold-brew coffee: regular and a nitrogen-infused blend. To learn more, read this article in Store Brands’ sister publication Convenience Store News.
