Academy Sports + Outdoors, Grunt Style Release Exclusive Shirt Collection

Sporting goods retailer Academy Sports + Outdoors and apparel brand Grunt Style are collaborating on an exclusive collection of patriotic t-shirts to benefit the children of soldiers who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

Through July 10, the retailer will donate 25% of the purchase price of select exclusive Grunt Style-branded products purchased in participating stores or academy.com to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. The nonprofit provides scholarships and educational counseling to kids.

 Through July 4, Academy is also offering a seasonal discount to all active service members, veterans, and first responders.

“25,000 children have lost a parent across all branches of the military in the past 35 years. To date, the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation has supported 2,839 students across the United States, and we are determined to increase their reach this year,” said Tim Jensen, co-founder of Grunt Style. “Our brand is founded on the mission to support those who have served our nation, but we can’t forget those they left behind. This initiative will ensure these students have the necessary resources to set them up for success.”

Founded in 1938 as a family business in Texas, Academy now operates 269 stores across 18 states, where its private label apparel and outdoor products can be found.
