Whole Foods is adding to its vegan prepared food options via a partnership with vegan chef and cookbook author Chloe Coscarelli. Ahead of World Vegan Day on Nov. 1, Coscarelli has created a vegan meal for two that the retailer will offer throughout the holidays.
The menu includes cremini mushroom roast with mushroom gravy; miso creamed greens, including Lacinato kale in a creamy miso cashew sauce; coconut sweet potato casserole; jalapeño cornbread dressing; and pumpkin curry soup.
To celebrate the new menu, Coscarelli is hosting an Instagram Live virtual baking event to teach consumers how to make a vegan pumpkin marble swirl cake that is meant to be made to accompany the vegan meal. It also offered an opportunity for the retailer to tout its Vegan offerings on Amazon, as well as its buy online, pick-up in-store platform.
