Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods Market said it added Creminelli Fine Meats’ artisan deli hams — from non-GMO-fed pigs — and Pole & Line Yellowfin Tuna to its exclusive product offerings.
The hams do not contain antibiotics or synthetic nitrates, and they are 5-Step Animal Welfare rated. Additionally, four new flavors will be added to the ham line this fall, including Rosemary Cotto, Truffle Cotto, Brown Sugar Cotto and French Cotto. The Creminelli ham is sold in Whole Foods’ deli and prepared foods departments.
The Pole & Line Yellowfin Tuna, made with line-caught yellowfin tuna from the Maldives, is caught individually using a sustainable pole-and-line method that allows fishermen to use barbless hooks and eliminates indiscriminate harvesting of other species. The tuna is traceable to Marine Stewardship Council-certified vessels and fisheries. It is gluten-free and kosher and does not contain fillers or additives. It is available in both salted and unsalted varieties.
