Walmart is letting Sam’s Club take the reins

At Shoptalk, Walmart revealed its futuristic, innovative plans to nail its omnichannel goals. However, what was more impressive was how Walmart is letting Sam’s Club come up with innovative ideas on its own, according to Chris Walton, CEO and founder of Red Archer Retail and Omni Talk, one of the fastest growing blogs in retail.

In his contributing article with Forbes, Walton explains that Sam’s Club’s recent announcement of it patenting its Scan & Go technology demonstrates Walmart’s “smart decision” of allowing its subsidiary company to take the reins, since it forgoed its own plans of developing similar technology.
