Walmart ends a delivery partnership

Walmart confirmed the previously unreported decision, and said it still partners with seven delivery firms, including DoorDash and Postmates, four of which it signed up in January.

Walmart has decided to move on from one of its eight grocery delivery partnerships.

According to a Reuters article, Walmart and Deliv, a logistics firm, called it quits on their key same-day grocery delivery partnership.

Walmart confirmed the previously unreported decision, and said it still partners with seven delivery firms, including DoorDash and Postmates, four of which it signed up in January.

According to the article, it was Deliv that ultimately had issue with its Walmart partnership. The company said that its drivers often had to wait 40 minutes or more to collect grocery orders when they showed up at the store. One reason for that, they said, is because Walmart gives a priority to customers over delivery drivers during regular hours, which complicated the partnership.
